Coffman Truck Sales is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our growing commercial truck dealership in Aurora, IL. Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty diesel engines and commercial trucks
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections
Repair engines, transmissions, drivelines, suspension, steering, hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems
Utilize advanced diagnostic software, OEM service information, and technical manuals
Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Perform vehicle inspections and recommend needed repairs
Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Assist with additional shop duties as assigned

Skills

Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of diesel repair experience preferred
Experience working on commercial trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, or fleet equipment
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Experience with Cummins, Allison, Volvo, or Isuzu engines is preferred
Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension, steering, and air brake systems
Ability to lift heavy components and work safely in a shop environment
