This pivotal role encompasses facility management, operational coordination, and cost control to optimize throughput, sales, and overall facility efficiency.

The Vehicle Processing & Operations (VPO) Manager will also play a crucial role in formulating and recommending policies and programs to enhance profitability and facility operations. In addition, they will oversee in-gate and out-gate logistics operations to ensure quality standards are maintained by third-party vendors.

The role involves scheduling, hiring, training, and coordination with other on-site managers to ensure seamless vehicle processing and uninterrupted customer delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess technical acumen, excellent time management skills, and the ability to lead change and inspire teams. Collaboration with other departments, particularly the Service Department, to enhance operations and customer satisfaction is essential. Safety and compliance are paramount, requiring adherence to all federal, state, and local safety requirements.Responsibilities
• Lead the Vehicle Processing Operations team, including at least 5 direct reports.
• Set individual and team targets, actively training, coaching, and developing the team.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and following up on vehicle prep operational tasks and projects, such as vehicle movement coordination, delivery schedule monitoring, vehicle repairs, lot organization and maintenance, and vehicle admin coordinator support.
• Oversee expense control, including staffing, supplies, and services.
• Apply Vehicle Operations' standard operating procedures with tailored adjustments based on location-specific criteria.
• Develop and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Motivate and inspire Assistant Managers and Associates, delivering high-quality results.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on new processes and documentation as business targets and volume grow.
• Work closely with other departments, particularly the Service Department, to enhance operations and customer satisfaction.
• Continuously focus on improving the Fisker delivery experience.
• Achieve processing and delivery targets, along with meeting P&L requirements for the location.
• Effectively plan using reporting and forecasting to set and adjust team schedules and allocate resources as needed to meet operational demands.
• Develop and implement countermeasures for problems and edge cases, providing relevant data to support resource requests.
• Ensure compliance with Fisker, state, and federal HR and EH&S requirements.
• Maintain high standards in process execution through daily lot walks, observations, and feedback.
• Manage the printing and storage of DMV documentation where applicable.
• Recruit and develop the team while ensuring timely position fillings.
• Resolve people and safety issues promptly in collaboration with Human Resources and relevant teams.
Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
• Minimum 7-10 years of Processing or Operations experience, preferably at an automotive OEM, with at least 4 years at the Manager level.
• Experience in managing direct reports.
• Proficiency in report writing, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Willingness to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays regularly initially, with an expectation of reduced need over time.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects, and meet business-critical deadlines.
• Experience with Lean Principles is preferred.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
• Prior experience with EV, Auto E-commerce, Supply Chain, or Process Improvement is preferred.
• Ability to obtain local sales licenses where required.
• Results and success-oriented mindset, with a sense of urgency to drive issues and projects to closure.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with numerous departments and working styles.
Expected Salary Range:$70,175 - $105,200 per year.Additional Compensation:Salary is one part of total compensation, which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits.
